On the second floor, with its open beams, you will see where the original 1911 structure, and the 1920’s structure were joined in the warehouse. The sloped ceiling boards of the upstairs boast signatures of the famous (and not so famous) that have passed through or lived in Chesterfield Inlet (Igluligaarjuk) over the past century. The Hudson’s Bay Company (complex) post is now used for warehouse by the Northern Stores’; detached to a new store adjacent to the building warehouse formerly the Hudson’s Bay Company (complex) post.
