August, 1946. Nascopie sailing. Hudson’s Bay Company supply ship ready to leave Chesterfield Inlet after delivering nearly a year’s supply of everything for the community. This ship had been touring the eastern arctic for forty years but in 1948 it ran aground and sank somewhere near Baffin island.
