Roman Catholic Mission est. 1912
The Roman Catholic Mission church establish September, 1912: foundation of the mission built by Arsene Turquetil O.M.I., and among the Inuit of Hudson Bay, in Chesterfield Inlet. The RC Mission was the very first to be built in the north; Roman Catholic Mission; name after Notre Dame De La Deliverande cathedral in France.
The Diocese of Churchill, Hudson Bay commemorated its 100th year anniversary in Chesterfield Inlet, September 1 to 3, 2012.
